LUIS MAKIANICH
CONSULTANT
Luis Makianich graduated from the National University of Buenos Aires, Argentina with an architectural degree in 1978. He was a researcher at the Urban Patrimony, part of the International Council for the Preservation of Historical Monuments and Sites in 1976. Additionally, he was active in the academic field and was the Chair of History of Architecture under Jorge Gazaneo in 1978 and Chair in Architectural Design under Héctor Angeluchi in 1980 and Jorge Goldemberg from 1987-2001.
He has distinguished himself in various architectural competitions where he has received various awards. Additionally, he has several publications and exhibitions including the exhibition of the New National Museum of Fine Arts in the Palacio Errázuriz. His latest publication is in the annual of The National Academy of Fine Arts.
His work with YNG Architects, as an independent consultant, has been instrumental in providing clear building analysis for fire and life safety of complex buildings. Additionally, his experience in building construction and detailing has facilitated the construction of buildings designed by YNG Architects.
